Finances

The Okoboji Lakes Bible & Missionary Conference may be unique among contemporary Christian camps and conferences. Begun as a faith venture in 1935, the tent meeting was sustained on offerings alone. Even with the growth of facilities and year-round staff, partnerships and ministries, the founding principle of operating by faith only on God’s provision has persisted. No registration fees are asked.

Each year, nearly 1000 households sacrificially support the Conference Association. Though many of these gifts are giving during the Conference, more than half of the annual budget is received throughout the year. Provisions for online giving and automatic bank withdrawals make that easier. Assistance is also provided upon request for those wanting to sustain the Conference through planned and non-cash giving. The Conference Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. Donations are tax-deductible and promptly and gratefully receipted. The board of directors and association receive an annual independent review of finances.
